BECOME A MENTOR
Women are 35% of the STEM workforce, with Black and Latina women making up only 4% of scientists and engineers in the US. Girls and gender-expansive youth from these underrepresented communities need role models who look like them and share similar life experiences in order to truly envision themselves in STEM. Now is your chance to be that role model for a young person in our community and help shape the future of female and gender-expansive STEM professionals!

Our mentors serve as STEM role models, guiding participants in inquiry-based learning and showing them what’s possible in STEM. Mentors dedicate two hours a week to building meaningful, bidirectional relationships with participants and Junior Mentors over an 8-week semester. Mentors co-teach in a classroom setting with all materials and curriculum provided. We are looking for mentors for both in-person and virtual sessions.

Please complete the Mentor Interest Form below so you can be one of the first people to receive our application during Fall 2025 recruitment!
