Volunteer Opportunities

"I had a great time with the girls and it was a fantastic experience. I loved teaching them new things, seeing them get excited about science, and having a small influence (hopefully!) in their lives".

"I can't say enough about how terrific, helpful & motivating the staff has been. And they always show appreciation".

Options

Join us for a semester or year as mentor-scientists (yes, that includes undergraduates). Mentor-scientists and engineers commit to attending a 5-hour training and a 1.5 hour on-site orientation. Click for more information or send us an email.

Can't commit to 10 weeks but still want to share how exciting science and engineering can be? Check out our one-time commitments.

Have other talents to share? Consider joining our event or fundraising committees, or help with curriculum development and graphic design. Find out more about these volunteer opportunities.

Hear mentor Leslie describe why she volunteers with us and her experience.

After School and Saturday Programs

Inspire girls in grades K-7 for an hour a week for 8-10 weeks with the magic of science while mentoring adolescent (8th through 12th grade girls) with whom you will work closely. We provide training, supplies, support, and a flexible, hands-on science curriculum. School year clubs run from late September/October to early December and February/March to May.
